By-by with the blues

The blues have had their time.
Spring is now here.
And this quality sofa deserves some attention.
Lots of staples came out of this hardwood frame.

The nosing I re-set the stuffings to line the decking for a nice clean look.
Lots of numbers on this sofa to plot out on the roll of fabric.

Below shows the hand sewn decking to the base lining.
And cotton coat to the base above the hand tied coil springs.
Added fabric where the seat cushions meet really help for a sofa well upholstered.

The arms stripped and ready for the new fabric.
The outside arms backed and lined.

And a natural burlap lining for the outside back.
My camera doesn't pick up the nice wheat color to the fabric.
I made custom wood buttons for the arm front pinweel pleats.
The deep fitting arm covers really extend the life of the sofa.
 The arm covers all surged.
Here is the tags that are on the inside back cushions.
The cushions need some freshening up.
I ripped a section of the seams and added 80/20 feathers and down.

I like to see the front clean, strait and looking smart.
 What a great designed sofa.
Well worth upholstering.
The customer supplied the fabric.  A nice thick fabric with some nice weight and weave.
Ready to serve for another 20 years at least.

Thanks for looking!
