1970's swivel rocker

This chair is gonna' get upholstered a 20 minute ride away from Keene New Hampshire.
The frame and quality stuffings there shouldn't be much restoration work.
This colonial style is a great example of how labor intensive upholstery can be.
With a full skirt flowing from 6 inches in the front and tapering to 5 inches in the back.
A set in inside back buttoned cushion, and complex arm fronts.

The COM (customers own material) has been troublesome lately.
The inner roll with glue from tape on the finish side of the fabric.
And deep creases made when they sloppily rolled the fabric onto the bolt.

 Here the inside button cushion,
patterned pleated and stitched together.
And the foam steamed back to original shape.
All 16 buttons attached, foam packed and ready to be attached to the frame.
The one piece outside arms and wings really keep this chair looking sharp,
with it backed and lined with a thin coat of cotton.

As well as the outside back.
Below shows the surged arm covers.
 The tailored outside back.
Pleated arm fronts pre-stitched with the pipings.
All that's left is the delivery to the cutest little summer cottage in the woods of New England.

Thanks for looking!
