Two Of A Kind

These probably 50 year old pair need some attention.
The frames are so well designed & built.
The bases have deteriorated & needs rebuilding.

After pulling lots of tacks & staples
They are on there way.
This restor-a-finish does a nice job freshening up the sleek legs.
One clean shop
makes for clean work.
The old foam rubber replaced in the seat.
Coil silencers and hand tied springs.
 Traditional burlap.
A heavy coat of cotton stripped & discarded.
And a heavy coat applied.
 Like building up a drum.
With just one half inch space
there's not much room as I set the insides.
 Strait up front rail set.

The back was still in nice shape.
It's good to plan ahead with a fresh backing strap set.
The one piece outsides need back & lined
and lots of care tailoring up.

This fabric came from Europe.
It's five star upholstery fabric for sure!

 Piping all around.
Even the base.
 And high end dust covers.

The nice fresh green sure is elusive with my
Lumix FZ40 camera.

 Ready to serve.
