The End of Another Year

This pair of functional,
practical, common sense , useful chairs are in need of attention.
The owners chose a fabric from my in house books. A nice rich burgandy, with a nice hand.
After removing lots of staples, plotting & cutting and sewing.
The tailoring begins.
Of course natural cotton only added to improve the stuffings for a proper finished look.
A hand sewn in deck line for sure helps back up this spring front nosing.
The inside arms get some attention also before the arms get worked.
I stripped the synthetic backing on the inside back and replaced with full thick coats of cotton.

The sides need lots of attention.

The outsides backed & lined with a thin coat of cotton.

Proud piping shows off the lines of these old timers.

 A quality dust cover.
And the legs refinished.
A complex spring front nosing to pattern up.
The matching ottoman gets lots of attention to the stuffings as it is the centerpiece.

 Straight & squared away.

Full fitting arm covers get surged.

And set.

The ottoman throw gets lead beading sewn in.
2635 foam sure is deserved with this pair of chairs.
These old timers are ready for a generation.

Thanks for looking!
