Mount Monadnock Comfort

Oh this 7 foot sofa with a full skirt with separate seat and back cushions sure will be a challenge.

I added two strips to the decking below the seat cushions. It really gives it a nice look.
With a thin coat of cotton and a handsewn  front seam.

Of course, the old fabric is stripped off and all the stuffings inspected with a thin coat of cotton usually. Being very careful not to over stuff the piece.
Carefully mirrored on front pleats.

And the outsides back, and lined with overstocked fabric from my fabric library, and a thin coat of cotton.

The fabric was end cut and necessary for seams. These seam sewed up nice and clean.

And, of course, a woven dust cover.

Considering the floor this piece will set on I installed custom cut felt pads.
Nice straight lines with the smallest piping possible.

This one piece backed & lined skirt, sure doesn't allow for much tolerance as all four sides are made, and sewn together for a one shot deal to attach to the frame

Surged arm covers will sure extend the life of the sofa with daily use.

Thanks for looking here!
