Bentwood Rocker

The owner of this hundred year old rocker really did a nice job restoring the frame.
Time for the base to be rebuilt.

Traditional burlap.
Original stuffings dusted out and reset.
A feather pouch was in great shape. I added more fresh feathers.
And hand sewn it back on the base.
And more stuffings.
Fresh cotton.
And a thin lining so it will tailor up looking sharp.
The arm tops stripped and rewoirked.

Fresh cotton for the inside back as well.
And the back inspected and the lumbar reinforced.
And the original screws used per the owners request.
The outside back lined and a thin coat of cotton.

And matching in stock gimp.
This piece is so solid and ready to serve.
Good for another hundred I would say.
Thanks for looking!
