Moorish chair

Here is a real old timer. Probably created around 1880.
It's been a couple generations since a craftsman has paid attention to this one.
All the bottom webbing removed and all 4 legs tapped open and support blocks removed cleane and re-glued up. Round strap viced for 3 days of drying time.

And new traditional LCM seat webbing soft set to the frame.
And the bottom springs secured.
And the special front nosing bench steamed before attachment to the nosing.

Fresh cotton on the seat top.
Repaired the front burlap.
Hand sewn 4 times across the front nosing of the seat.

Of course the original horse and sow hair replaced.
The tufting sure was a challenge as it was 5 seperate pieces tailored together.

Sure took some time to tailor this one up keeping an eye on many details.
The outside back and arms finely tuned before closing it up.
 Here shows the outside lining.
A light coat of cotton and the outside piece tailored up.
What a great piece of functional furniture.
The fabric was chosen from my in stock fabric library.

Thanks For looking!
