Lakeside for 60 years

This old timer has been in a family camp for at least 60 years. Reminds me of that movie On Golden Pond from back in the day.
The owners chose an in stock fabric from my fabric library.  I'll set this well serving chair up for another big run.

All the old base removed and retied up right.
Natural stuffings and materials are the best with natural burlap over the spring base.
Proper placing of stuffings is very important for proper tailoring.
New 1 " nosing.
Hand sewn coverings into the decking.

The frame joints tapped open glued and reset.

Natural cotton gives a great natural seating.
I've got some beautiful clean, natural cotton batting.
The inside back restored.

Channel backs are very tricky. Doing them off & on for twenty years, I've gotten pretty good at the complex system of channeling inside sacks.

Lots of preperation to tailor all the channels up nice & clean.

A set of surged deep fitting arm covers are really nice.
 Back plates tailored up.
The outsides backed & lined with a thin coat of cotton.
The base trimmed up with piping & traditional decorative tacks.
Ready to serve!

And a seat cushion with the best foam one can buy.
